My name is Jim Ford, I am the principal here at Westwood. I received my B.A. in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa, and my Masters Degree in administration also from the University of Northern Iowa.

This is my 21st year as an elementary principal in Ankeny. I previously was an elementary principal in Waukee and Dunkerton, Iowa. Prior to becoming a principal, I taught third grade in Mason City, Iowa.

I live in Ankeny with my wife, Joy who is a first grade teacher here in Ankeny. I have two adult children who were educated in the Ankeny Community Schools. Liz lives in Kansas City and Joe lives in Urbandale.
